Pretty Perfect Kitty-cornBy Shannon Hale this book is cute。 I thought the main audio narration was good the unicorn part felt disjointed from the rest of the story。 I’m not sure I would have went with a “paint Bum” as the focus but it made my kids laugh。 Thank you #NetGalley and Author for letting me view this title

This was the second Kittycorn book I listened to with my 5 year old daughter。 She loved the original book and after listening to this one， she said she liked it too， but not as much as the first one。 I tend to agree with her。 This book is about being comfortable with who you are and being yourself around your friends。 The message in this book didn’t come through as clearly as it could have。 We would be interested in visiting the Kittycorn world again， but this book wasn’t our favorite。

Shannon Hale is one of my favorite authors for older kids （Princess Academy and The Goose Girl） and even adults （Austenland）。 It was fun to see she also writes picture books for young children。 This is a cute story of a friendship between a unicorn and a kitten。 I love the message that true friends accept you for who you are and love you despite your imperfections。 Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a temporary digital copy to use for my review。

I would like to thank Edelweiss and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review。 My 5 year old daughter and I loved the first book so we were excited to read this one。 My daughter loves cats， unicorns and the colours pink and purple so this book is right up her alley。 But what I love as a mom is the message behind the story， that no matter what， the good， the bad， the ugly， your family and friends love just the way you are。
